Killers
Dreams are crushed by a cold blank stare
She fell to the ground
Of death not even aware
She stepped in front as the bullet sped
And yet my life
Was barely spared
Broken hearted I fell to my knees
Life in turmoil
I didn't want to see
The dark red blood mixed with my tears
I heard her last breath
Confirming my fears
I stood by her as the killers came near
They took my life
My blood seared
I fell beside her as life faded from my eyes
I took her hand
As I died
