We could lie here all night,
Forever
Breathing each other's breath,
Twisted together so that we two
Become one tangled body
With synchronized heartbeats
Like raindrops on a window,
Running alone until joining together
If we had our way,
We would lie here all night,
Forever
My fingers moving gently over your skin,
Writing messages known only to me
In large swoops
Hoping, in my secret way,
That through my abstract lettering
You know exactly how I feel
Learning to speak without words
Lying here all night,
Forever.
