Rainforest Mist
Seeping up
moving through
serpentine slick
wordless glow
drop for drop
out of time
beat upon beat
marching fire
blasting on horizon
curling like her eyelash
writing secret whispers
for invisible suns
burning faintly
through leaf
and thickest canopy
her body wrapped up in
a blanket of crowded stars
rainforest eyes
covering her dreams
in illuminated mist.
