What happened here?

This cannot happen

I woke up in terror
A dystopia on its way
No way around it
All reason abandoned
What can I do?
Did this hell come from nothing?
From our mortal human soul?
This is where I draw the line
To fight it here and now

I looked out my window
A spark of hope is here
No weakness in our hearth
All for one and one for all
What brought us together?
Did the gods send us aid?
From their realms far away?
