The night creeps slowly down the range of hills,
Silently, into the voids left by the dusk, it fills.

Like a worn-out blanket, full of holes
The night wraps around the city's bowls,

Leaving tiny pinpoints of light galore,
Peeking through its rotten pores.

From a golden dusk's haze into the darkness,
My thoughts weave in and out in forms artless.

As I contemplate the mysteries of this world,
With those that our vast universe will hold.

My eyes keep darting at the city lights,
As my thoughts align with distant stars so bright.
