She doesn't know
I've caught her a couple times
Waking before the sun
It's the same routine
Deep long breath
As she hugs herself tight
Does a softening stretch
A faint smile glistening on heated lips
She closes her eyes
Indulging in the silence of lost moments
Slow gentle openings as yesterday's tribulations and trials are now speckled laughs for a day
She has yet to realize that she is hope
Hope for all the helpless
For I am a raven and she is a dove
Yet she bares my heart an olive branch
And beckons me to wake with peck like kisses
