Let me tell you about myself,
a man in need of dire help.
Though I look jolly and bright,
there lurks a demon deep inside.

It burns and howls.
It roars and kills.
It ravages all whatever it wills.
With all its force, with all its might.

Its tongue is dark, its eyes ablaze.
A scorched head, a hideous face.
Unbearable to look at, impossible to gaze.
Even darker than the darkest night.

There is no salvation from this beast.
No refuge, no shelter, how hard I seek.
No friend, no mate in times of need.
I scream, I howl, no help in sight.

Suddenly, darkness shatters, lights blaze.
The demon howls and cries in pain.
I open my eyes and see your face.
You're standing alone in that cold winters night.
