Kindness

The more you distanced yourself

The more I yearned to be close

The more you silenced yourself

The more my twisted heart spoke

I turned each simple kiss

Into an act of love

When all you meant for it

Was just a simple kiss

And so I wept

As you left

Me with this

It was not my intention to

Make you suffer in silence

And the violence in my heart

For causing such madness

When all that you've shown me

Is nothing but kindness

Nothing but kindness.
