Wasting your life,
looking for perfection,
is like hunting for snipe,
with the wrong directions.

Under Full moon and naked,
in the neches river bottom,
I searched and called,
but never caught 'em.

Cause as you know,
they can smell your clothes,
and they only hunt in moonlight,
walking on six toes.

Can't use a flashlight,
cause they'll see you coming,
can't use a net
they will hear it humming.

No matter what you do,
or the rules you follow,
it just doesn't exist,
this truth is hollow.
