As you slowly slide
into memory
and i am left to bury
my dead dream
i can't help but envy
the one who holds you now
because it isn't me
to have and hold you now.

As you slowly slide
into memory
and i am left to bury
my dead dream
my heart is aching
and my spirit yearns
i have to comfort myself believing
that there is still so much to learn.

As you slowly slide into memory
and i am left to buy my dead dream
the thoughts crawl by
i shudder and sigh
and i can't hold back the tears
so i let them fall
and tell it all
to the one who really cares.
As you slowly slide into memory.
