The ground below is 6 billion years old,
I've loved you for just over half.
Love like ours has only been told,
we're the first to travel this path.

You are the awakening for man's first romantic,
setting off the quest for a love like mine.
The continents shift and then came the Atlantic,
but nothing could separate us this time.

The eras preceded,
mountains rose,
oceans receded.

But our story is all that will stand,
on this 6 billion year old land.
