In the beginning of time, the sky was shy to show all of her colours

and so she made a challenge for herself

"Today I am going to show of my purple side", she muttered

So she did, looking ever so beautiful

But people on earth got tired of her hue

"Violet is not for you", they said

Her smile fading and the blush on her face is gone

Petrified, she realised

People will always get tired of her

No matter what she did

That is why she looked blue


But oh God isn't she *pretty
