Here I stand a champion
A winner every time
In the contest of my life
Victory is mine

Others feel defeated
A huge letdown to be sure
But I'll take your hand in mine
And walk you to the shore

Don't look back in anger
Grinning ear to ear
Just walk away with your head held high
Triumphant and well aware

The ocean's green, the sky is blue
In a different shade or two
The clouds are white, a yellow sun
Just remember who it was that won

Be graceful in defeat
Just like when we win
In reaching for perfection
We had to first begin

There will come a day
Defeat is unavoidable
And that's when you shall shine
Brighter than a lightning's strike
Victory is mine
