As I typed
I felt I could write
without being trite,
say something right
and light
on a mite
to fight my usual good fight.
Sometimes, the content
is a fusion
without allusion
That's what I'll call it,
not that the purpose of my poetry
is to put down all this **** stuff.
It's typed up by some hippie sage
that doesn't mind my wages
and doesn't act like I've got him locked up in a cage.
Yeah, the typewriter, the printing press
the computer, and the copier
and the printed word, in general, everywhere.
