Love in the Interstellar Expanse
Lost in space,
in your arms,
as comets trail.
Asteroids crash,
as stars go nova,
your sun shines on me.
Memory seared,
with thoughts of eyes,
burning into my soul.
Wishes voiced,
but never come true,
as she walks away.
I watch her sway,
into the distance,
but I cannot shake.
The piercing eyes,
molten stare,
of one I wish was mine.
Darkness consumes,
my mortal coil,
soul lost completely in the toil.
Stars twinkle,
red, white, orange and green,
but all I see are the blue ones .
As I float alone,
weightless, with no path,
through the universe.
