The Fire Burns
Poems
Aug 2017
Blooming from the Past
With mental shears,
the ropes holding me back,
severed.
My new self,
blooms in the sun,
of a new day.
Watered by tears
of past wrongs,
converted.
Roots grow
in fertile soil,
as growth continues.
Future is mine,
going forward,
opportunities.
