Will the day ever come?
Every window of hope
SLAMS
shut
as if
I was never supposed
to sneak out
and make you mine
I don’t agree with gravity
in this regard, for it is you
who has stolen my heart
and you covet it, unknowingly
and instigate these flirtations
leaving me drunk with elation
No, it’s not just the alcohol
that leaves me giggling like a child
It’s that you and I,
are nearly the same kind
ultimately compatible
We see eye to eye,
but only one of us realizes
Inspired by a ****** night.
