Sep 2017
you feel broken and used up;
tumultuous life stained your eyes
suffering inside with no respite;
feeling as if your end begins
but you have the heart of a lion
my friend

you are beautiful as you are;
trust in your vivid petals
but never lose your thorns;
you are loved and cherished
never to be forgotten
my friend

these days are shadows
passing clouds over the sun;
flowers do not bloom without rain
& you are a cherished flower
with immaculate design
my friend

you have purpose to this life
do not disbelieve this;
that if you were no longer here
the world would lose a star;
you are a star
my friend
God loves you as you are right now, not as you should be.
