Inmaturity
I used to be so innocent,
I used to be so sweet,
I used to be so small and weak,
Just crawling round your feet.
You used to dress and wash me,
You used to hold my hand,
You used to be the strength I lacked,
Before I'd learnt to stand.
I'll always be your baby,
I'll always be right here,
I'll always need you with me,
To help me face my fear.
You have to see I'm growing,
You have to feel the change,
You have to let me take a risk,
Although it may feel strange.
I'm learning more of who I am,
I'm learning how to stand,
I'm learning to be more grown up,
I know you'll understand.
