Here in Kolkata it has been raining Sometimes in torrents sometimes in light drop Nimbus clouds are endlessly thundering For a little shelter larks hop and hop
The sky overcast in densely black cloud The normal flow of life has gone haywire Weak bridges cave in before helpless crowd We are robbed of our poems as it were
The ruthless rain in city and village The sky collapsing in shirts and trousers Crazy monsoon in meaningless pillage The garden smiles though in scented flowers
The rescue team is calling you and me Hey come letβs join the life in poetry
