Count the Scars

If you could see the scars,Of how many times I've been shot down.You may wonder why,I am still alive.I don't think you can see,The damage that has been done to me.Afraid to get hit again,Is why you don't see my spreading my wings.You make me want to reach the heavens,Show my true colors and fly.To spread my wings and fly again,Are you the reason why?
