You Can't Touch Me

I want to be numb

I want to desire the

harsh touch of another

a slap, a kiss, a kick, a caress

I am not numb

I am full

of emotion, of feeling, of thought

I can't bear any more

It's not a choice

It's not 'I don't' but 'I can't'

Don't slap me

Don't kiss me

Don't kick me

Don't caress

You can't, I can't

If you put your arm

Around my shoulder

I will not let it stay

I don't want you to love me

I can't let you love me

I only have so much

and I've used it all up

on the things within

My outsides can't keep up

I don't want to feel your skin

I can't feel your skin

I can't control it anymore

There is too much inside

of me, I cannot do it

Just please

Let me be

Let me marinate in my sadness

Till all I feel is apathy

Just please

Don't touch me

You Can't touch me.
