hey, I went to see where
the birds went today now that it’s the
rainy season. .

I left the country without consulting any of my friends
so I’d surely miss all of them though
it was selfish but I honestly think
selfish’s not going to bring them closer
to me.

I wonder who keeps the house running,
the people in it clothe and fed.
I wonder who took my place.
I hope he’s more deserving than I was
when I was with you.
it’s funny that I think these words
don’t belong to me for it has been used
many times before
by countless people we don’t know
but I guess it’s just the way it goes.

I guess it’s better to admit
that my words are no good from here on. . .

but hey. reckon you headed somewhere east
