Don't say I love you, it just hurts.
Don't say I need you, pretend the reverse. You think you're making things better but you're making things worse. I'm not your hunger, I'm not your thirst.

Don't pick up the phone whenever I call;
say you need nothing, nothing at all.
Know that no one will catch you whenever you fall. Believe all of everything or nothing at all.

Don't read the letters, don't sing the songs. Play all of the games I can't play along. If you were never there, you can never be gone. If you ever come back, come when you can't stay so long

Don't say I love you, it just hurts
It may be true, but I'd have to believe it first
I'm completely spent, I know my worth
Don't say I love you, it just hurts.
