Red crimson sparkles
On the shattered glass
Dashed on hot summer pavement

You never asked for this,
You never meant to hurt so bad
And you're looking back and forth,
Side to side
There isn't much left to go

You've broken too many hearts and
Too many promises
And the crimson,
It's dripping from your sleeve

Steel gleams with His light
And maybe one day
Your eyes will wash away this blood
Because he made a promise
And he's the only friend you'll ever want
