Dark-Horse
It's like I'm screaming, and no one can hear.
As I'm suspended above an unrequited sea of tears.
And if the cables are cut, nothing holds me up, and nothing pulls me down.
No choice but to levitate, for I've never been on solid ground.
For even when I'm drowning no one ever seems to be around.
Perhaps it's the strength in love and hope that keeps me afloat.
I've only reached the edge of night, and I shall carry on till each mornings light.
Turning toward the fire in the sky, letting all the shadows fall behind.
Along with the broken words that always seem to find me.
I do not desire a facade to maintain, or a visage marked by adversity that never seems to fade.
So I'll let all my worries fall like rain, because it's only my life that I fall into reign.
As my life takes its course, it's a journey I travel like a dark-horse.
