The cold nipped at the little girls cheeks.
As she walked past the frozen river
She stopped and looked at a wolf that was crossing the river.
The wolf looked at her with forgiving eyes
The girl watched as the wolf took off running.
As curiosity took over the girl she followed across the thin ice.
She finally stopped when the sound of ice cracking brought her back to reality.
The wolf turned around to the sound of a scream only to see nothing.
