May 2017
been down and tarnished
insecurities have been brandished
neurocircuits outlandish
i've got the fists but i can't hit

stand down and hold your own
no celebrations in the end-zone
keep cool while you pick the bone
no one has to know that the lights shone

i walk around a dichotomy
sit beneath a blooming tree
die in the winter, revived a stinging bee
don't break the lock, i've got the key
