I bet it doesn't snow where you're living
It never really snowed here either
But today I feel frost
Engulf my ankles
Put pins in my cheeks
                in my nose
And I wonder
Where life has taken you

The first tracks have marked their way through the snow
Harsh black lines through the silence
That this snow,
Engulfing my ankles
Putting pins in my cheeks
                       in my nose,
Has created
Without you living here.
