Habits
Your cigarettes stained
My hair and breath.
We never found home,
But a place to rest.
Your alcohol intoxicated
My legs and sight.
You said you loved me,
And I believed you might.
Your cursing struck
My ears and face.
You decided to leave,
But left an empty space.
Your empty promises broke
My heart and wrists.
I knew I shouldn't write,
But I couldn't resist.
