The world is made up of 30% land, 70% ocean
We shared common ground, we dove in with emotion
If love had a sound, ours would smell potent
Bound to be *******, chopped up in slow motion

Set sail on this quest, you kept me afloat
No life vest, rockin' the boat
The world was cold, I used you to cope
Soaked in your love, you gave me a crown
I tore my walls down completely aware I could drown

Maybe that was my biggest mistake
My love for you got me deep in this dark place
It's like you can't breathe, you can't be
Imprisoned in thought, drowning in memory

Feelings manifested, years invested, wasted
I need detachment, time reimbursement
But it's all mathematical, this was the quotient

Find this in the fiction category, my heartbreak allegory
written Sept. 2013 // getting over a 4 year relationship was one of the hardest things I've ever had to deal with at the time
