Sally said it best
When she sang that pretty song
A girl could try forever
And always get it wrong

"For it is never to become,
For I am not the one"

But why is it?
Brought together by fate,
And yet still
We don't "date"?

A ball of string,
A kitten with yarn;
I am your plaything
And yet you mean no harm.

It should've ended years ago
And yet I can't walk away,
I just sit and hope;
I long for the day.
One day maybe I'll be yours,
You'll ask me to stay.

Stupid Girl

That's all I'll ever be,
Wrapped around your finger,
Until you're done with me
