Lost Stars
Lost in a world of color,
crept away from the ground
beneath my feet,
I now wander through space
floating amongst the stars
shining just for me.
As I ascend above Jupiter, I
pray for a lost star to find
their way toward me.
A rebel in disguise, his
star will shine just for me.
I give him a warm smile,
I long for my wondering
and wandering to find a star
as lost as myself.
Surfing across the galaxies,
I wish to show him the ground
I walked upon before I began
my retreat from reality.
Will you hold my hand as we
descend from paradise?
