The rain
It has a language of its own
Its accent is soft spoken
And its words tap on my window

Late at night
When I’m wrapped in my sheets
with thoughts, too loud
Louder than the rains lullaby’s
And I can’t sleep

I listen
To its silky voice sing
I fall into a sleepy daze
And slowly, my thoughts fade
Away
Away
*Away
