We didn't fall for a smile,
A body, or a face.
We fell for each other's words
And connected with grace.
Friends for many years,
Yet we didn't see
How much we intertwined,
How great we could be.
Its not about genders
Or bodies that touch,
Its the care in each message
That means so very much.
Transcend the odds that say
We can't be together,
I'd cross the ocean
To hold you forever.
