Dec 2016
A finger of sunlight
Pressed on the window
And my eyes awake to it's streaming call
If it knew I was here
It would send a shadow
To spell my name upon these walls

Sleep eludes my soul
And I hear the morning whispers
Of the voice of dawn arrive
Let me be
I ask of thee
To rest my spirit and close my eyes

A splinter of day
Against my skin
And it's warmth resides to prey within
It heats my soul
With burning sin
And throws the ashes into the wind

Its been this same dream
For all my years
I wish it could let me be
Imaginations
Spilling over
And drowning me
