The road and the Bird
Treading along life’s lonely path
Its joys and pains galore
Learning to take it all alone
With none a smile to spare
Then came along a lively bird
A stranger though long known
Chirpily, so gracefully
A nest of love did build
Oh bird of hues so splendorous
Your voice of symphony
On this road as I trudge along.
brings peaceful harmony
Care and being wanted for
Are things of destiny
To some denied and some avowed
By supernatural plans
Bird of plumes of love and Grace
Your flaming touch ignites
The joy of being thought about
Sincerely and true
Stay here oh bird, in the nest you built
Come Sun or thunderstorm
With you to sing a random song
I ease can trudge along
