Homecooking.
Nelle says
like too much salt
there's such a thing
as too much love.
When it wraps you up against yourself
and you become the wall against which you are trying to force
through.
You become the line of fire
and the angling arrow.
Sometimes too many slings
reach the heart,
and everything tastes like wood
or lead.
A good rabbit can go bad,
with too many arrows
or
too many bullets.
Like hunting
love takes patience;
like salt,
a person can get stones
inside of themselves
when they get too full
on love.
The kind of stones
you can't **** out.
