Someday not yet so far away
where willows whisper in the wind
my heart you have led me astray
where shadows of the night are thinned

To treetops glittering in gold
to silver trunks of oak and yew
through pathways at a glance unfold
where scarlet skies white herons flew

From creeks where bronze fish flash and turn
There 'neath the wood you lay and drowse
my heart to you will time return
protected by the willows boughs
