You've made it known, your love for me,
so many times before;
And yet there's one thing you forget,
I'll always love you more!

You bring a smile upon my face,
each time you cross my mind;
The best friend that a man could have
or anyone could find!

It may have been some cruel joke
God played upon this Earth;
Within mine days He made us both,
for each our moms to birth!

We met so young, began to bond,
in Nashville, Tennessee;
Yet even now, so far apart
the best of friends that can be!

You said it best in cards you sent
we're stuck together like glue;
To show the world what friendship's like
this love twixt me and you!

So when time comes to wrap you up
I'd walk 500 miles;
to hold you close in loving arms
and see your gorgeous smile!

For now we live so far apart,
too far at times, it seems;
But listen now, I'll see you soon
if only in your dreams!
