So deceptive these composed calamities

They get the better of you

A new enigma found my sight

Plucked them from a drinking glass and polished them proper

Abstract and splattered face greet this new perception

Said it would paint me a more elegant demise

Something humble and quiet

no blood or bones broken

More so a mind resigned to despondency

Watch the knees sag in that final moment

When this world falls around its creators

The sun lays sputtering and extinguished

gasping steam and screaming for more

A moon lays low lacking a proper socket wrench

No way to rebuild these hysterical landscapes

Glance at the rubble strewn plateau

Remember the peace it once contained

it was only momentary

I find a reason buried deep inside what once was

musty and earthly

dig like I'm China bound

I finally unearth free will and all it's beautiful chaos

I put it in my pocket for safe keeping
Strange times indeed
