Flickering tongues
orange glow
underneath
blue

White hot
radiating red
occasional sparks
of green

Crackling bits
ascend glowing
copper bits
in the wind

White rabbit smoke
chases me
around the pit
in changing swirls

Spinning in circles
rotisserie warm
against the coming
winter
