Who picked you up when you were down?

Who always laughed away your frown?

Who was the one you could always call?

Who stood by you through it all?

Who was your friend through thick and thin?

Who always tried to help you win?

Who taught you how to get high?

Who really showed you how to fly?

Who's the one you dropped so fast?

Who's the savior from your past?

Who'd you leave on their own?

Who'd you cast from your home?

The girl you seem to always forget,

Is the one who started all of it.

The one who built the circle and gave you a place to stay.

The one who fought for you and never ran away.

The one who gave up everything to help you win your war.

The same one you say you don't really care for.

She'd pick you up at 2am and hide you from your Dad.

She'd hold you crying in her arms and make you feel so glad.

All she ever asked was, "Just always be my friend."

All she ever asked was, "Stay with me till the end."

But you just went away and left her all alone…

And you're only sorry now as you stare at her stone.

Simple words etched in rock but they still break your heart.

It reads, "I gave my friends the world and they tore me apart."

You'll never see her smile again or hear her voice.

She never stopped loving you, leaving was YOUR choice.

She'll never throw another party, never smoke another bowl.

I hope something is always missing now, I hope your world won't feel whole.

She loved you and you left her for some stupid guy.

I hope it kills you to know you never got to say good-bye.

I hope you can't sleep, hope you're haunted by her ghost.

Cause the girl you never thought you wanted was the one you needed most…
