drawn in by the mayhem
attracted to disaster
there's a rush that comes with heartbreak
but comfort in ever after

there's beauty in this madness
despite the constant pain
for every blissful moment
reprimands the constant strain

infatuated with the new
but held back by the old
throughout this secrecy
the ending is foretold

change is ever terrifying
this is something we both know
but daring, you're already crying
your heart is dying to go

but there is comfort in the constant
and fear in the unknown
but take a good look in your garden
and see the dying flowers you'd once grown

wilted and malnourished
they've all begun to weep
but if you water them with newfound love
your secrets, they will keep
