The words on the screen
They're tough to read
They tell us truths
And the truths get warped
By those who fear to accept
To understand
To lose their power
I don't know who wrote these words
This time
Or the last
But I know there will be more
There will be those who plant their feet in the mud so thick they'll never move
Never budge
Content in not knowing
Because to understand would mean to give up the power that they've had
That wasn't real to begin with
False truths
Those words have power
I don't know who wrote those words
But the truths they write
Can start a flood
And ignorance can drown you
