What a sight for wide eyes

Purpose finally catches up with time and casts it aside

Claiming it has no need for manmade contraptions

Sky pieces swing by corners
finally unhinged
They fall and dent the earth
no longer able to deny space

People dodge the danger
frantically scratching lottery tickets

Not knowing the lines were dead and this week's numbers irrelevant

Inside structures of brick and grime
eyes stray from boxed realities

Outside streets and avenues crooked
footsteps falter and grow silent
Unsure of the path taken

A shriek in the distance

Chaos
The final spotlight
forced transparency for the masses
Makeshift personalities betray their creators
Vanity cast aside with haste
but never disgust

Wavelengths solidify
once invisible
now oh so relevant
Fear spreads fast and abrupt
gravity bows out
physics waves goodbye
fall through the holes
No safety net left for mending
