What's the sound of a
Breaking heart?
It varies I think.
From silence,
To glass shattering.
Harsh words spoken in grief,
Tinged with solemn lonely
As you become an island in
A destitute sea.
It sounds like, a ship with full sails
Departing from shore,
As you figure out that you can't
Stand the confliction anymore
And burn the bridges betwixt yourself
And your friend or significant other.
It sounds like fire,
It sounds like a winter storm thick
With blinding snow
And freezing cold.
It sounds like pain,
And loss,
And discomfort,
And unspoken, weighted words.
It sounds like crashing down to earth.
It sounds like,
"I've been hurt".
