Oct 2016
This crowded room may consume
But this body may not betray
Constrict my motion for a moment
But vacant eyes have nothing to say

Misplaced my mind for amusement
Hoping to pass the time
Replaced my lie with atonement
Hoping to pass the crime

I walk past the rewind statements
No answer for the sighs
I hear them ask about my health
Knowing full well they despise

"I hear you write?"
"I hear you fight?"
"I hear you died back in 2009?"
"How about a breather?"
"How about this weather?"
"Whatever happened to your mind?"

I mouth words for mercy sake

"Excuse me but do you have the time? You see I have this meeting with sanity and I'm already late"

Brains shake negative
Slow motion disapproval
Make my exit...
Overwhelmed by the colors
I forgot my shade

These holes I dig
I fear become mandatory
When I attempt
to make sense of the rest
