Encountered memories
                     flash through my mind
                                         forming a basis
on how to proceed

A kiss is but a kiss
             but sometimes fraught with meaning
                                           and changes everything past it
for better or worse

No way to know
             so go ahead
                       pursed lips
ignite passion

Mornings light reveals an empty bed
                                   an answer to a question
                                                         hope springs eternal
even if it sets us up

In free fall, emotional spiral,
                 toward the spinning singularity
                                                 headed off by a smile
and a giggle

A robe wrapped thing of beauty
                                   comes back in the room
                                                       with two cups of coffee
and the glue for my emotions
