The cooler lid is a bad place to sit
Somebody’s always wanting into it
After cold beer, water or coke
Pretty sure some think it’s a joke

When I get settled and sat back down
Here they come right back around
Gotta get up like a **** seesaw
I’m pretty sure it’s a character flaw

Bothering me when I’m chilling here
Can’t even take a sip of my cold beer
Up and down all night long
One thing for sure my legs get strong

I’m a pretty smart it’s one of my traits
Next time I’ll sit on the truck tailgate
Or bring a bag chair so I can relax
And drink my beer and eat my snacks

Sitting around, joking or singing a song
You all know, it won’t be long
Before somebody else has a seat on the lid
And my beer is empty and god forbid
I need in the cooler.
Written after watching my daughter and her boyfriend sitting on the cooler lid at a party
